Somewhere between a sculpture and a ritual, Palmyra, the Namah: Palm Incense Gift Set is a palm tree in brass, its fronds fanning out from a single centre point where the incense rests. Every ridge and vein of the leaf is cast in fine detail, and the textured trunk gives it a weight that looks as good on a console table or mandir as it does in the box.

Light up to three sticks at once and the room fills slowly, with a scent that lingers rather than announces itself. Six incense sticks come with it, so the first two evening are taken care of.

It arrives in a deep red Namah: Gift Box with gold-foil palms across the lid. It looks finished and considered from the moment it's handed over, which makes it a gift that doesn't need a card to explain it.
